The big news I did have was to announce that we've brought on a new team member named Tim! Tim is a Canadian engineer and avid gamer who loves RPGs and spreadsheets. We don't have too much new for you with this post - we refreshed our database with a few bug fixes the team has checked in, but there's nothing too major to report. I get that it helps with the game to have a way check things and such but isn't that what the PRD is for in the abcense of the books.2/7/23 10:28 PM PSTHi everyone! I know it's been a while since I've checked in on this side of the Archives and I wanted to provide some updates. If it's just proof of ownership they could include a proof of purchase system that goes onto your PFS membership card. Wanting to, and successfully, making money is great for paizo, without being in the blue they can't make more content.īut telling someone that they can't play because they didn't remember, or want, to carry 6 basically textbooks across town or even across country is completely unfathomable. I still have a few VHS's that I refuse to buy on DVD, let alone bluray. If it were I would not play, as I refuse to buy anything twice. I'm glad the rule isn't strictly enforced. Factor in possible game maps, and various items at the tables. But let's say you are in a hall with 10 tables, 7 people per table, each with 6 books. Most of the PDF's go for 10 bucks on the Paizo site, and you can often get hard copies for about half of Paizo's list price online or at some stores. Paizo's a company worth supporting, and that way your bases are covered, PFS wise. Do get some of the books once you're a little more familiar with the system. Sticking to the Core Rulebook is safest, and there's really more than enough in there to build a decent character, especially for new players. I've been told that at other stores, and at least some cons, the requirement is more rigidly enforced. The few times it has come up have been when the GM has been unfamiliar with a particular feat/spell/ability/whatever and needs to verify the details. I've played at a few locations, and generally haven't seen verification strictly enforced. I can't really speak to PCGen's accuracy, but as for point 2: Strictly speaking, you're supposed to have a copy (either hard or digital, digital needs to have a watermark with your name on it, i.e, not a pirated copy). r/Pathfinder_RPG - For general non-Society Pathfinder discussion /r/Pathfinder_ACG - For the Pathfinder card game /r/PathfinderOnline - For the upcoming Pathfinder MMO /r/rpg - For general RPG discussion Other subreddits you might be interested in: Society Group Specific Subreddits- let us know if you'd like your group's subreddit linked here!
